I have found another use for this garden grab (although I only did this because of the circumstances at the lack of time for an alternative solution).

I went up to my workshop which is adjacent to the horse paddock and just before doing any work I thought I would say hello to the horses.

The horses were already at the fence waiting to greet me and as I leant over to stroke them I notice a hedgehog curled up on the patch of ground behind the horses feet. Heavens knows how it was not trod on because the horses were not standing still.

I used the grab to gently pick the hedgehog up and ferried it to the hedgerow behind the fence. The little row of blunt spikes on the jaw were perfect for stopping the little thing slipping out.
